Chhattisgarh
Chhattisgarh is a state in India known for its significant contribution to the country's production of coal and steel. It is located in the central part of India and is surrounded by the states of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh. The state was formed on 1 November 2000 by partitioning ten Chhattisgarhi and six Gondi-speaking southeastern districts of Madhya Pradesh.

Chhattisgarh is located in the central part of India. The state shares its borders with seven other states: Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra in the west, Telangana and Odisha in the south, Jharkhand in the east, and Uttar Pradesh in the north.
Economy[edit | edit source]
Chhattisgarh's economy is primarily based on agriculture, with the state being one of the few in India that is self-sufficient in food production. The state is also a major producer of rice, wheat, and oilseeds. In addition to agriculture, Chhattisgarh is also known for its significant contribution to India's production of coal and steel.
