Chichester is an unincorporated community located in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. It is part of the Philadelphia metropolitan area and is situated near the border with the state of Delaware.

Chichester was originally settled in the late 17th century by English Quakers. The area was named after the city of Chichester in West Sussex, England. The community developed as a rural area with agriculture being the primary economic activity.
Geography[edit | edit source]
Chichester is located in the southeastern part of Pennsylvania, within Delaware County. It is bordered by the communities of Upper Chichester Township and Lower Chichester Township. The area is characterized by its suburban residential neighborhoods and proximity to major transportation routes, including Interstate 95.
