Chronic condition

From WikiMD's Food, Medicine & Wellnesspedia

A chronic condition is a health-related state that is recurrent or persistent over an extended period, typically characterized by effects lasting longer than three months. Chronic conditions encompass a broad range of health issues that develop progressively or are present from birth and may not have a definitive cure. The term chronic becomes pertinent when the progression of the disease continues for an extended timeframe, necessitating ongoing medical attention or limiting regular activities or both. These conditions can range from mild conditions, such as minor arthritis, to life-threatening diseases like advanced cancer.
