Conor Daly (born December 15, 1991) is an American professional racing driver. He is the son of former Formula One and Champ Car driver Derek Daly. Conor Daly has competed in various racing series, including the IndyCar Series, GP3 Series, and Indy Lights.

Early Life and Career[edit | edit source]

Conor Daly was born in Noblesville, Indiana. He began his racing career in karting, where he achieved significant success, winning multiple championships. Daly transitioned to car racing in 2007, competing in the Skip Barber National Championship, where he won the title in 2008.

Professional Racing Career[edit | edit source]

Star Mazda Championship[edit | edit source]

In 2009, Daly moved to the Star Mazda Championship, finishing third in the standings. He continued in the series in 2010, winning the championship with seven wins and nine podium finishes.

Indy Lights[edit | edit source]

Daly advanced to the Indy Lights series in 2011, driving for Sam Schmidt Motorsports. He finished the season fourth in the standings, with one win at Long Beach.

GP3 Series[edit | edit source]

In 2011, Daly also made his debut in the GP3 Series with Carlin Motorsport. He continued in the series in 2012 and 2013, achieving a race win at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in 2013.

IndyCar Series[edit | edit source]

Daly made his IndyCar Series debut in 2013, driving for A.J. Foyt Enterprises in the Indianapolis 500. He has since competed for several teams, including Dale Coyne Racing, Schmidt Peterson Motorsports, and Ed Carpenter Racing. Daly has achieved multiple top-ten finishes in the series.

Conor Daly is known for his philanthropic efforts, including his work with the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation. He was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at a young age and has been an advocate for diabetes awareness.
