Cork University Hospital Group

Cork University Hospital Group (CUHG) is a network of healthcare facilities in Ireland. It is one of the six hospital groups established by the Irish Government to deliver patient care across a range of specialties. The group includes Cork University Hospital, University Hospital Kerry, Mercy University Hospital, South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital, Mallow General Hospital, and Bantry General Hospital.

CUHG provides a wide range of medical services, including emergency medicine, surgery, maternity, paediatrics, and oncology. The group is responsible for delivering integrated care to a population of over 1.1 million people in the South/South West Hospital Group region.

Cork University Hospital[edit | edit source]

Cork University Hospital (CUH) is the largest university teaching hospital in Ireland and is the only Level 1 Trauma centre in the country due to its 24-hour consultant-led service. CUH also houses the Cork University Maternity Hospital and caters to over 150,000 patients each year.

University Hospital Kerry[edit | edit source]

University Hospital Kerry (UHK) is a general hospital providing acute hospital services to the people of Kerry. It offers a range of services including emergency department services, inpatient and outpatient services, maternity services, and critical care.

Mercy University Hospital[edit | edit source]

Mercy University Hospital (MUH) is a voluntary Catholic hospital under the patronage of the Sisters of Mercy. It provides a range of services including medicine, surgery, cancer services, and emergency medicine.

South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital[edit | edit source]

South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital (SIVUH) is a voluntary public hospital. It is a major provider of a range of services including ophthalmology, dermatology, ear, nose and throat surgery, and orthopaedics.

Mallow General Hospital[edit | edit source]

Mallow General Hospital (MGH) is an acute general hospital serving the North Cork area. It provides a range of services including medicine, surgery, gynaecology, and paediatrics.

Bantry General Hospital[edit | edit source]

Bantry General Hospital (BGH) is an acute general hospital serving the West Cork area. It provides a range of services including medicine, surgery, gynaecology, and paediatrics.
