Crockett County is a county located in the U.S. state of Tennessee. As of the 2020 census, the population was 13,711. Its county seat is Alamo. The county was formed in 1871 and named in honor of Davy Crockett, a 19th-century American folk hero, frontiersman, soldier, and politician.

Crockett County was established in 1871 from parts of Dyer, Gibson, Haywood, and Madison counties. The county was named after Davy Crockett, who was a celebrated 19th-century American folk hero and frontiersman.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 266 square miles (690 km²), of which 266 square miles (690 km²) is land and 0.2 square miles (0.52 km²) (0.08%) is water.

As of the 2020 census, there were 13,711 people, 5,500 households, and 3,800 families residing in the county. The population density was 51.5 people per square mile (19.9/km²). The racial makeup of the county was 80.2% White, 16.2% Black or African American, 0.3% Native American, 0.2% Asian, and 2.1% from two or more races. 3.5% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
