Crown Heights, NY
Crown Heights is a neighborhood located in the central portion of the New York City borough of Brooklyn. The neighborhood is known for its rich history, diverse culture, and vibrant community. Crown Heights is bounded by Washington Avenue to the west, Atlantic Avenue to the north, Ralph Avenue to the east, and Empire Boulevard to the south. It is about one mile wide and two miles long. The neighborhood's main thoroughfares are Eastern Parkway, Franklin Avenue, and Nostrand Avenue.

- Crown Heights has a long and storied history, with the area first being inhabited by the Lenape Native Americans, followed by Dutch and then English settlers. In the 20th century, the neighborhood became a hub for African-American and Caribbean-American culture.

- Crown Heights is known for its cultural diversity, with a significant population of African American, Caribbean, and Jewish residents. The neighborhood is home to the annual West Indian American Day Parade, one of the largest and most colorful parades in New York City.
