Dale Sandler
Dale P. Sandler is a prominent American epidemiologist known for her significant contributions to the field of environmental health. She is currently the Chief of the Epidemiology Branch at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), a part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Sandler was born and raised in the United States. She completed her undergraduate studies in biology and later pursued a Master's degree in public health. She earned her Ph.D. in epidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Career[edit | edit source]
Sandler began her career at the NIEHS in 1978. She has since held various positions within the institute, including Acting Director. Her research primarily focuses on the environmental causes of chronic disease, including cancer, autoimmune diseases, and neurological disorders.
One of her most notable studies is the Agricultural Health Study, a large-scale project investigating the health effects of pesticides and other agricultural exposures in farmers and their families. This study has provided valuable insights into the links between environmental exposures and health outcomes.
