Dammarie-lès-Lys is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France. It is located in the south-eastern suburbs of Paris 34.5 km (21.4 mi) from the center of Paris.

Dammarie-lès-Lys is famous for its historical Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, which was built in the mid-17th century. It is also known for the Abbey of Lys, a Cistercian nunnery founded in 1244 by Saint Louis and his mother, Blanche of Castile.

The commune is located on the banks of the Seine River. It is bordered by the communes of Melun, Le Mée-sur-Seine, and La Rochette.

As of 2016, the commune had a population of 21,812. The population density is 2,300/km² (5,900/sq mi).
