Dan Povenmire is an American animator, writer, director, producer, and voice actor, best known for his work on the animated television series Phineas and Ferb and Milo Murphy's Law. Dan Povenmire was born on September 18, 1963, in San Diego, California. He grew up in Mobile, Alabama, where he developed a passion for drawing and animation at a young age. Povenmire attended the University of Southern California where he studied film.

Early Work[edit | edit source]

Povenmire began his career in animation working on shows such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Simpsons. He gained significant experience and honed his skills in storytelling and animation during this period.

Phineas and Ferb[edit | edit source]

Dan Povenmire is best known for co-creating the hit animated series Phineas and Ferb alongside Jeff "Swampy" Marsh. The show premiered on Disney Channel in 2007 and quickly became a favorite among audiences for its humor, creativity, and musical numbers. Povenmire also provided the voice for the character Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz, the show's main antagonist.

Milo Murphy's Law[edit | edit source]

Following the success of Phineas and Ferb, Povenmire and Marsh created Milo Murphy's Law, which premiered in 2016. The show follows the adventures of Milo Murphy, a boy who is the personification of Murphy's Law, where anything that can go wrong will go wrong. Povenmire continued to showcase his talent for creating engaging and entertaining animated content.
