History[edit | edit source]
DanceSafe was established in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1998 by Emanuel Sferios. The organization was created in response to the increasing use of MDMA (commonly known as ecstasy) and other psychoactive drugs within the electronic dance music community. DanceSafe quickly expanded and now has chapters across the United States and Canada.
