Delmadinone (also known as Delmadinone acetate) is a steroidal progestin that is used in veterinary medicine to treat various conditions in animals. It is not used in humans.

Delmadinone is a synthetic steroid that has progestogenic effects. It is used in veterinary medicine to treat conditions such as pyometra and endometritis in dogs and cats. It can also be used to treat alopecia in dogs.

Delmadinone is a synthetic steroid and is a derivative of progesterone. It is more specifically a derivative of 17α-hydroxyprogesterone, as it features a hydroxyl group at the 17α position and a keto group at the 3 position.

Delmadinone was first described in the literature in 1960. It was introduced for veterinary use in the 1960s.

Delmadinone is marketed for veterinary use under the brand names Tardak, Vetadinone, and others.
