Devontae Shuler (born February 9, 1998) is an American professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the Ole Miss Rebels.

Early life and high school career[edit | edit source]

Shuler was born in Irmo, South Carolina. He attended Irmo High School before transferring to Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia. At Oak Hill, he played alongside several other future NCAA and NBA players, gaining significant attention for his skills on the court.

College career[edit | edit source]

Shuler committed to play college basketball for the University of Mississippi, joining the Ole Miss Rebels. Over his four-year career at Ole Miss, Shuler developed into a key player for the team. He was known for his defensive prowess, scoring ability, and leadership on the court. In his senior year, he averaged 15.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game, earning him a spot on the All-SEC Second Team.

After going undrafted in the 2021 NBA draft, Shuler pursued opportunities to play professionally. He has participated in various NBA Summer League teams and has explored options in international leagues.

Shuler is known for his versatility as a shooting guard. He is a strong defender, capable of guarding multiple positions, and has a reliable jump shot. His quickness and agility make him a threat in transition, and he has shown the ability to create his own shot off the dribble.
