Dez Fafara, born Bradley James Fafara on May 12, 1966, is an American musician known for his work as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal bands DevilDriver and Coal Chamber. Fafara was born in Los Angeles, California and began his music career in the early 1990s.

Early Life and Career[edit | edit source]

Fafara's interest in music started at a young age, and he was influenced by various genres, including punk rock and heavy metal. In 1993, he formed the band Coal Chamber, which gained popularity in the nu metal scene. The band released several albums, including their self-titled debut album in 1997.

DevilDriver and Solo Work[edit | edit source]

After Coal Chamber disbanded in 2003, Fafara formed DevilDriver, a groove metal band known for its aggressive sound and intense live performances. DevilDriver has released multiple albums, such as The Fury of Our Maker's Hand and Beast.

In addition to his work with DevilDriver, Fafara has also pursued a solo career and collaborated with other artists in the metal scene. His distinctive vocal style and energetic stage presence have earned him a dedicated fan base.
