Dharwad
Dharwad (Kannada: ಧಾರವಾಡ) is a city located in the northwestern part of the Indian state of Karnataka. It is the administrative headquarters of the Dharwad district. Dharwad is known for its rich cultural heritage and educational institutions.

Dharwad has a long and varied history, with evidence of habitation dating back to the Paleolithic era. The city has been ruled by various dynasties, including the Chalukyas, Rashtrakutas, and Vijayanagara Empire. In the 19th century, it became part of the British Raj and was incorporated into the Bombay Presidency.

Dharwad is situated at an altitude of 750 meters above sea level and is characterized by its hilly terrain. The city experiences a tropical climate with distinct wet and dry seasons. The Western Ghats influence the climate, providing a moderate temperature throughout the year.
