Dimagi
Dimagi is a global technology company that develops software solutions and services for health and social protection systems. Dimagi's software product, CommCare, is an open-source mobile data collection platform that improves data collection and service delivery in low-resource settings.

Dimagi was founded in 2002 by Jonathan Jackson and Vikram Kumar, both graduates of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The company's name is derived from the Hindi word for "intellectual" or "scholar". Dimagi's initial focus was on developing software for the healthcare sector, but it has since expanded to other sectors such as agriculture, education, and social protection.
Products and Services[edit | edit source]
Dimagi's flagship product, CommCare, is a mobile data collection and service delivery platform. It is designed to be used by frontline workers in low-resource settings to collect data and deliver services. CommCare is used in over 50 countries and has been recognized by the World Health Organization and the United Nations for its impact on global health and development.
In addition to CommCare, Dimagi offers a range of services including project design and implementation, training and capacity building, and data analysis and visualization. These services are designed to support organizations in implementing and scaling their programs using Dimagi's technology.

According to a study published in the Journal of Medical Internet Research, CommCare has been shown to improve data quality, increase worker productivity, and enhance service delivery. Other studies have shown that it can also improve health outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.
