Publication history[edit | edit source]

Doctor Druid was introduced in the early 1960s, a period known for the Silver Age of Comic Books. He was initially presented as a master of the mystic arts, predating the introduction of Doctor Strange. Over the years, Doctor Druid has appeared in various Marvel titles, often as a supporting character or member of the Avengers.

Fictional character biography[edit | edit source]

Anthony Ludgate Druid was a psychiatrist and explorer who became interested in the occult. He studied under a Tibetan lama who revealed to him the secrets of the mystic arts. Taking on the name Doctor Druid, he used his newfound abilities to combat supernatural threats.
