Duane Tolbert Gish (February 17, 1921 – March 5, 2013) was an American biochemist and a prominent creationist. He was a leading member of the Institute for Creation Research (ICR) and was well-known for his participation in public debates on the topic of evolution versus creationism.

Duane Gish was born in White City, Kansas. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and later obtained his Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley.

Gish began his career in academia, working at the University of California, Berkeley and later at Cornell University. He eventually joined the Institute for Creation Research, where he became a prominent figure in the creationist movement.
