ESPN Classic is an American pay television network that is owned by The Walt Disney Company through its ESPN Inc. subsidiary. The channel features rebroadcasts of famous sporting events, sports documentaries, and sports-themed movies.

ESPN Classic was originally launched as the Classic Sports Network on May 6, 1995. It was founded by Brian Bedol and Steve Greenberg. The network was acquired by ESPN in 1997 and subsequently rebranded as ESPN Classic.

Programming[edit | edit source]

ESPN Classic's programming primarily consists of rebroadcasts of notable sporting events, including Super Bowls, World Series games, and NBA Finals. The network also airs sports documentaries, such as those produced by ESPN Films under the 30 for 30 series, and sports-themed movies.

ESPN Classic is available on various cable television and satellite television providers. However, its availability has decreased in recent years as the network has shifted much of its content to digital platforms.
