Edwards County is a county located in the U.S. state of Illinois. As of the 2010 census, the population was 6,721. Its county seat is Albion. The county was formed in 1814 out of Gallatin and Madison counties and is named for Ninian Edwards, the Territorial Governor of Illinois.
