Emma Livry was born in Paris, France in 1842. She showed a natural aptitude for dance from a young age and began her training at a prestigious ballet school in Paris.
Career[edit | edit source]
Livry's talent quickly caught the attention of ballet masters and she made her debut at the Paris Opera Ballet at a young age. She gained fame for her grace, technique, and emotive performances, becoming one of the most celebrated ballerinas of her time.
Tragic Accident[edit | edit source]
In 1862, tragedy struck when Livry's costume caught fire during a rehearsal at the Paris Opera. The accident left her with severe burns that ultimately led to her untimely death in 1863.
