Erotic sexual denial
Erotic sexual denial is a sexual practice in which a heightened state of sexual arousal is maintained for an extended length of time without orgasm, and is commonly practiced in association with BDSM and sexual bondage. Erotic sexual denial can be another name for or variant of orgasm control. One form of erotic sexual denial is the reduction or deprivation of all genital stimulation.
Overview[edit | edit source]
Erotic sexual denial is a form of sex play. The practice can be divided into two main types: 'tease and denial' and 'total denial'. In 'tease and denial', the partner is stimulated repeatedly and kept on the brink of orgasm, but is not allowed to reach orgasm. In 'total denial', the partner is not allowed any sexual release at all.
Types of Erotic Sexual Denial[edit | edit source]
Tease and Denial[edit | edit source]
In 'tease and denial', the partner is stimulated repeatedly and kept on the brink of orgasm, but is not allowed to reach orgasm. This can be done using hands, sex toys, or other means. The goal is to keep the person at the highest possible level of arousal without allowing them to reach orgasm.
Total Denial[edit | edit source]
In 'total denial', the partner is not allowed any sexual release at all. This can be done through the use of a chastity device or by simply not allowing any kind of sexual activity. This form of denial can last for a short period of time, or can be a long-term part of a sexual relationship.
Psychological Aspects[edit | edit source]
Erotic sexual denial can have a number of psychological effects. It can increase the intensity of sexual feelings, create a sense of anticipation and desire, and can be a form of power play in a BDSM relationship.
