- Etna is a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area. The borough is located on the banks of the Allegheny River and is known for its rich history and tight-knit community.

- Etna was incorporated as a borough in 1868. It was named after the famous Mount Etna, an active volcano in Italy, due to the presence of many iron and steel industries in the area that resembled the fiery mountain.
Geography[edit | edit source]
- Etna is located at 40°30′6″N 79°56′40″W. The borough has a total area of 0.8 square miles, all of it land.
Demographics[edit | edit source]
- As of the 2010 census, there were 3,451 people, 1,580 households, and 897 families residing in the borough.
