History[edit | edit source]
The EUF was founded in 1989 by a group of national diving federations from across Europe. The federation has since grown to include member organizations from more than 25 countries.
Role and Activities[edit | edit source]

This includes lobbying for legislation and regulations that protect the rights of divers and promote the safety and sustainability of underwater activities. The federation also works to standardize diving training and certification across Europe, and to promote underwater sports and activities.
In addition to its advocacy work, the EUF organizes a range of events and activities for its members. These include competitions, training courses, and conferences. The federation also publishes a range of materials, including guidelines, reports, and newsletters.

These organizations represent a wide range of underwater activities, including scuba diving, freediving, underwater hockey, and underwater photography.
