Fayetteville is a village located in Onondaga County, New York, United States. As part of the Syracuse Metropolitan Statistical Area, Fayetteville is known for its historic charm and the amenities of a larger city in a community setting.

- Fayetteville was incorporated as a village on December 25, 1844. The community was named after Marquis de Lafayette, a national hero of both France and the United States.

- Fayetteville is located in the central part of New York State, southeast of the city of Syracuse. The village is in the town of Manlius and is an eastern suburb of Syracuse.
