Floreffe
Floreffe is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Namur. This municipality is known for its rich history and the Floreffe Abbey, a former Premonstratensian monastery established in the 12th century.

The history of Floreffe dates back to the 12th century when the Floreffe Abbey was established by Norbert of Xanten, the founder of the Premonstratensian order. The abbey played a significant role in the religious, cultural, and economic life of the region.

The Floreffe Abbey is a remarkable architectural complex that includes a church, a cloister, and several other buildings. As of 1 January 2021, the total population of Floreffe was 7,847. The total area is 38.89 km² which gives a population density of 202 inhabitants per km².
