Gerry Conway
Gerry Conway (born September 10, 1952) is an American writer of comic books and television shows. He is best known for his work on The Amazing Spider-Man, where he co-created the character The Punisher and wrote the storyline in which Gwen Stacy dies. Conway has also written for DC Comics, including notable runs on Superman, Justice League of America, and Batman.

Gerry Conway was born in New York City. He began writing comic book stories at a young age and sold his first professional work to DC Comics at the age of 16.

Marvel Comics[edit | edit source]
Conway's most significant contributions to Marvel Comics include his work on The Amazing Spider-Man. He took over the writing duties from Stan Lee and introduced several key characters and storylines. One of his most famous contributions is the creation of The Punisher, a vigilante character who has become one of Marvel's most enduring anti-heroes.
Conway also wrote the controversial storyline "The Night Gwen Stacy Died," which had a lasting impact on the Spider-Man series and is considered a pivotal moment in comic book history.
