- Gibbstown is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Greenwich Township, in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 3,739. Gibbstown is home to several historic sites and buildings, reflecting its rich history and cultural heritage.

- Gibbstown was first settled in the 17th century by Swedes who named it "Gottenburgh", after the Swedish city of Gothenburg. The name was later changed to Gibbstown after the Gibbs family, who were prominent local landowners.
Geography[edit | edit source]
- Gibbstown is located in the southwestern part of New Jersey, approximately 25 miles south of Philadelphia. It is bordered by the Delaware River to the west, and by the townships of Paulsboro and East Greenwich to the north and east, respectively.
