    Google Play Music was a music streaming service and online music store operated by Google. It was launched on November 16, 2011, and was discontinued on December 3, 2020. The service was available in 63 countries and offered over 40 million songs for purchase or streaming.

    Google Play Music provided users with several features, including:

    • **Music Streaming**: Users could stream music from a library of over 40 million songs.
    • **Music Store**: Users could purchase and download music.
    • **Music Storage**: Users could upload up to 50,000 songs from their personal music collection to the cloud for streaming.
    • **Radio**: The service offered curated radio stations based on genres, moods, activities, and user preferences.
    • **Offline Playback**: Users could download music for offline listening.
    • **Integration with Google Services**: The service was integrated with other Google services such as Google Assistant and YouTube Music.

    Google Play Music was officially discontinued on December 3, 2020. Users were encouraged to transfer their music libraries to YouTube Music, which became Google's primary music streaming service.
