Grace Ndeezi

Grace Ndeezi is a Ugandan female pediatrician and a Professor of Pediatrics and Child Health at the Makerere University College of Health Sciences in Kampala, Uganda. She has numerous publications on a wide range of topics, including nutrition, HIV, pneumonia, malaria, sickle cell anemia, diarrheal diseases, neonatal health, and child health interventions such as immunization, breastfeeding, and other common childhood diseases. Grace is also a Fellow of the Uganda National Academy of Sciences (UNAS). She holds a joint PhD from Makerere University and the University of Bergen.

Grace Ndeezi completed her undergraduate and postgraduate medical education at Makerere University, earning a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree and a Master of Medicine (MMed) in Pediatrics and Child Health. She later pursued a joint PhD program at Makerere University and the University of Bergen.

As a Professor of Pediatrics and Child Health at Makerere University College of Health Sciences, Grace Ndeezi has been involved in teaching, research, and clinical practice. Her research has focused on various aspects of pediatric and child health, including nutrition, HIV, pneumonia, malaria, sickle cell anemia, diarrheal diseases, and neonatal health. She has also studied the impact of child health interventions such as immunization, breastfeeding, and the management of common childhood diseases.

Grace Ndeezi has contributed significantly to the field of pediatrics and child health through her numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and presentations at national and international conferences. Her work has been influential in informing policy and practice in the area of child health in Uganda and beyond.

In recognition of her contributions to the field, she has been named a Fellow of the Uganda National Academy of Sciences (UNAS), an organization dedicated to promoting excellence in scientific research and providing independent, evidence-based advice on matters related to scientific research, policy, and education in Uganda.
