Great American Cookies
Great American Cookies is a chain of independently owned and operated franchised stores that specialize in gourmet cookies, especially the chocolate chip and sugar cookies. It was founded in 1977 and has its headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia.

The first Great American Cookies store was opened in Atlanta, Georgia by Michael Coles and Arthur Karp, who were inspired by a passed-down family recipe. The company quickly expanded and by the 1980s, it had stores across the United States. In 1998, the company was purchased by NexCen Brands Inc., a global brand management company.

Great American Cookies offers a variety of cookies, including chocolate chip, sugar cookies, peanut butter cookies, and oatmeal cookies. They also offer specialty products such as cookie cakes and brownies. The company is known for its signature Cookie Cake, which is a large cookie decorated with icing.

Great American Cookies operates as a franchise system. As of 2020, the company has over 290 locations in the United States and internationally. The company provides comprehensive training and support to its franchisees.
