- Greenwood Lake is a village in Orange County, New York, United States. It is part of the Poughkeepsie–Newburgh–Middletown, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the larger New York–Newark–Bridgeport, NY-NJ-CT-PA Combined Statistical Area. The village is named after the lake it is built around, Greenwood Lake.
Geography[edit | edit source]
- Greenwood Lake is located at 41°13′4″N 74°17′15″W. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.1 square miles (5.4 km2), of which, 1.6 square miles (4.1 km2) of it is land and 0.5 square miles (1.3 km2) of it (23.71%) is water.
