Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University
Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) is a veterinary university located in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. It was established in 2005 by an act of the Punjab Legislature No. 16 of 2005, carved out of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) with a mandate to promote livestock production, health, and prevention of disease through integrated teaching, research, and extension programs.

The university is named after Guru Angad Dev, the second Sikh Guru, and was established to serve the society by advancing veterinary medicine, animal science, and allied sciences. The foundation of the university was laid to address the growing needs for veterinary and animal sciences professionals in Punjab and to enhance the quality of life of animals through improved healthcare and disease management.
