Hand-to-hand combat
Hand-to-hand combat (H2H or HTH) is a physical confrontation between two or more persons at very short range (grappling distance) that does not involve the use of weapons. The phrase is often used to refer to unarmed combat but may also include combat where weapons are not present or are not used.

Hand-to-hand combat has been a part of human conflict since prehistoric times. Early forms of hand-to-hand combat were often part of military training and were used in ancient warfare. Various cultures developed their own systems of hand-to-hand combat, such as Pankration in Ancient Greece, Jujutsu in Japan, and Boxing in Western Europe.
Types of Hand-to-Hand Combat[edit | edit source]
Hand-to-hand combat can be divided into several categories based on the techniques and strategies used:
- Striking - This involves using parts of the body such as fists, elbows, knees, and feet to deliver blows to an opponent. Examples include Boxing, Karate, and Muay Thai.
