The story revolves around Virginia "Ginny" Wainwright, a high school senior at the prestigious Crawford Academy. Ginny is part of the "Top Ten," an elite clique of the richest and most popular students. As her 18th birthday approaches, her friends begin to disappear one by one. Ginny, who has a history of psychological trauma and blackouts, starts to suspect that she might be the killer.
