Hardeman County is a county located in the U.S. state of Tennessee. As of the 2020 census, the population was 25,462. Its county seat is Bolivar. The county was named for Thomas Jones Hardeman, a veteran of the War of 1812 and the Texas Revolution.

Hardeman County was established in 1823. The county was named in honor of Thomas Jones Hardeman, who was a prominent figure in the early history of Tennessee and Texas. The county seat, Bolivar, was named after the South American revolutionary leader Simón Bolívar.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 670 square miles (1,735 km²), of which 668 square miles (1,730 km²) is land and 2.1 square miles (5.4 km²) (0.3%) is water.
