Muttaqi sought to create a movement that combined the principles of straight edge with a strong emphasis on animal liberation and environmentalism.

Beliefs

Hardline adherents follow a strict code of ethics that includes abstaining from the consumption of animal products, refraining from the use of drugs and alcohol, and promoting a lifestyle that is in harmony with nature.
