Hasan Şaş

Hasan Şaş (born August 1, 1976) is a retired Turkish football player and current assistant coach at Galatasaray. He is known for his hardworking style and ability to play in multiple positions, including winger, forward, and midfielder.

Hasan Şaş was born in Karataş, a district in the province of Adana, Turkey. He developed an interest in football at a young age and began his career at local club Adana Demirspor.

Hasan Şaş started his professional career at Adana Demirspor in 1994. He moved to Galatasaray in 1998, where he spent the majority of his career. During his time at Galatasaray, he won numerous Super League titles and was a key player in the team's UEFA Cup and UEFA Super Cup victories in 2000.

International Career[edit | edit source]

Hasan Şaş represented Turkey at various levels. He was a part of the team that finished third in the 2002 FIFA World Cup, where he scored one goal and provided several assists. His performances in the tournament earned him a place in the FIFA World Cup All-Star Team.

Post-Retirement[edit | edit source]

After retiring from professional football in 2009, Hasan Şaş began his coaching career. He has served as an assistant coach at Galatasaray since 2011.

Hasan Şaş is considered one of the greatest players in the history of Turkish football. His versatility, work ethic, and contributions to Galatasaray and the Turkish national team have earned him a place in the hearts of football fans in Turkey and beyond.
