Helen Stokes-Lampard
Helen Stokes-Lampard is a prominent British GP and academic. She is best known for her role as the Chair of the RCGP from 2016 to 2019.
Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]
Stokes-Lampard was born and raised in Wales. She completed her MBChB degree at the University of Birmingham in 1996. She then went on to complete her MSc in Medical Education in 2000.
Career[edit | edit source]
Stokes-Lampard began her career as a GP in Lichfield, Staffordshire. She has also worked as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Birmingham and as a GP Partner at the Westgate Practice.
In 2016, she was elected as the Chair of the RCGP, a role she held until 2019. During her tenure, she advocated for the importance of primary care and the role of GPs in the NHS.
Awards and Recognition[edit | edit source]
In 2018, Stokes-Lampard was awarded an honorary DSc by the University of Birmingham for her contributions to primary care.
Personal Life[edit | edit source]
Stokes-Lampard is married and has two children. She is also known for her interest in triathlon and has competed in several events.
