Hose coupling
Hose coupling refers to a connector on the end of a hose to connect (or couple) it with another hose or with a tap or a hose appliance, such as an irrigation sprinkler. It is usually made of steel, brass, stainless steel, aluminum, or plastic. Hose couplings have various uses depending on the application and are designed to connect hoses of different sizes and types, and to join hoses to other components like pumps, sprinklers, and nozzles.

- Air Hose Coupling: Specifically designed for air and water hoses, these couplings are also known as claw couplings due to their claw-like points that lock into the corresponding notches on the mating fitting.
- Garden Hose Coupling: These are designed for easy, tool-free connection of garden hoses to taps, sprinklers, and hose end accessories. They often feature a quick-connect design for convenient use.

The choice of material for a hose coupling depends on its intended use, including the type of fluid being transported, the required pressure, and environmental conditions. Common materials include:
