Hostile work environment
Hostile Work Environment refers to a form of harassment in the workplace that is not conducive to a safe and productive work atmosphere. It is characterized by being pervasive or severe enough to create a work environment that a reasonable person would consider intimidating, hostile, or abusive. For a workplace to be legally considered hostile, the conduct must be discriminatory and pervasive or severe enough that a reasonable person would find it hostile or abusive.

Employees who believe they are experiencing a hostile work environment should report the behavior to a supervisor, human resources department, or another designated official according to their company's policies. Documentation of incidents, including dates, times, witnesses, and details of the harassment, can be crucial for substantiating a claim.
