Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) is a public research university located in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. It is a collaboration between Indiana University and Purdue University, making it the third-largest university in the state of Indiana.

IUPUI was established in 1969 as a result of the merger between Indiana University Indianapolis and Purdue University Indianapolis. The merger aimed to provide a comprehensive education to students in the Indianapolis area and to enhance research and economic development in the region.
