Interleukin-11 receptor

Structure

Function

For instance, a deficiency in IL-11Rα has been associated with Craniosynostosis and dental anomalies. Moreover, overexpression of IL-11R has been observed in several types of cancer, including breast cancer and gastric cancer, suggesting a potential role in tumor progression.

Research on IL-11R is ongoing, with studies focusing on its role in health and disease, as well as its potential as a therapeutic target. For example, IL-11R antagonists are being explored as potential treatments for conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and cancer.
