Ishikawa Prefecture (石川県, Ishikawa-ken) is a prefecture located in the Chūbu region of Honshu, Japan. The capital is the city of Kanazawa.

Ishikawa is located on the Sea of Japan coast. It is bordered by Toyama Prefecture to the east, Gifu Prefecture to the southeast, and Fukui Prefecture to the south. The prefecture also includes the Noto Peninsula, which extends into the Sea of Japan.

Ishikawa Prefecture was established in 1872 during the Meiji Restoration. The area has a rich history, with the city of Kanazawa being a prominent cultural center during the Edo period under the rule of the Maeda clan.
