Jeremy Irvine
Jeremy Irvine (born Jeremy William Fredric Smith; 1 July 1990) is an English actor. He is best known for his role in the film War Horse (2011), directed by Steven Spielberg. Irvine has also appeared in several other notable films and television series.

Jeremy Irvine was born in Gamlingay, a village in Cambridgeshire, England. He attended Bedford Modern School and later trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).

Film[edit | edit source]
Irvine's breakthrough role came in 2011 when he was cast as Albert Narracott in War Horse. The film, based on the novel by Michael Morpurgo, was a critical and commercial success, and Irvine's performance was widely praised.
Following War Horse, Irvine starred in several other films, including Great Expectations (2012), where he played the role of Pip, and The Railway Man (2013), in which he portrayed a young Eric Lomax.
In 2015, Irvine appeared in the horror film The Woman in Black: Angel of Death and the romantic drama Fallen (2016). He also starred in Stonewall (2015), a film about the Stonewall riots.

In addition to his film work, Irvine has appeared in several television series. He starred in the BBC miniseries Life Bites and had a role in the television adaptation of Treadstone (2019), a series connected to the Bourne film franchise.
Personal Life[edit | edit source]
Jeremy Irvine has been open about his struggles with Type 1 diabetes, a condition he was diagnosed with at the age of six. He is an advocate for diabetes awareness and has spoken publicly about managing the condition while maintaining a demanding acting career.
