Jilly Goolden
Jilly Goolden is a British wine critic, journalist, and television personality. She is best known for her role as a presenter on the popular BBC television series Food and Drink, where she showcased her expertise in wine tasting and provided viewers with insights into the world of wine.

Jilly Goolden was born in Surrey, England. She attended Roedean School, an independent girls' school in Brighton, and later studied at the University of Sussex, where she developed an interest in wine and food.
Career[edit | edit source]
Goolden began her career as a journalist, writing for various publications on topics related to food and wine. Her big break came in 1982 when she joined the BBC's Food and Drink program. Alongside co-presenter Oz Clarke, Goolden became a household name, known for her enthusiastic and descriptive wine tastings. She remained with the show until it ended in 2002.
In addition to her work on Food and Drink, Goolden has appeared on several other television programs, including I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! and Celebrity MasterChef. She has also authored several books on wine and food, sharing her extensive knowledge with a broader audience.
