East Sussex
East Sussex is a county located in the South East England region of the United Kingdom. It is bordered by the counties of Kent to the northeast, West Sussex to the west, and Surrey to the northwest, as well as the English Channel to the south. The county town is Lewes, which is also the location of the East Sussex County Council.

East Sussex has a rich history dating back to the prehistoric period, with evidence of early human occupation. During the Roman era, the area was part of the territory of the Regnenses. The Saxons later invaded and settled in the region, establishing the kingdom of Sussex.
