Surrey is a county in the South East region of England, known for its rich history and picturesque landscapes. It is bordered by Kent to the east, East Sussex to the southeast, West Sussex to the south, Hampshire to the west and southwest, and Berkshire to the northwest, with Greater London to the northeast.

Surrey's history dates back to the Roman era, when it was a province under the Roman Empire. The county's name is derived from the Old English 'sūþrīge', meaning 'southern region'. Surrey has been a significant location throughout English history, with many historical landmarks such as Guildford Castle and Hampton Court Palace.

Surrey is divided into eleven districts: Elmbridge, Epsom and Ewell, Guildford, Mole Valley, Reigate and Banstead, Runnymede, Spelthorne, Surrey Heath, Tandridge, Waverley, and Woking. The county is known for its diverse landscapes, including the Surrey Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the River Thames, which forms part of Surrey's northern border.

Surrey has a strong economy, with a high concentration of businesses in sectors such as IT, telecoms, and financial services. The county is home to several multinational corporations' headquarters, including Samsung Electronics, Sony, and Toyota.
