Jiro Ono (chef)
Jiro Ono (小野 二郎, Ono Jirō, born October 27, 1925) is a renowned Japanese chef and owner of the sushi restaurant Sukiyabashi Jiro in Tokyo, Japan. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest sushi chefs in the world.

Jiro Ono was born in the city of Tenryū, which is now part of Hamamatsu, in Shizuoka Prefecture. He began working in the culinary industry at a young age, starting his apprenticeship in sushi making at the age of seven.

Jiro Ono opened his own restaurant, Sukiyabashi Jiro, in 1965. The restaurant is located in the Ginza district of Tokyo and has earned three Michelin stars. Sukiyabashi Jiro is known for its meticulous approach to sushi preparation and its high standards of quality.
