John Catsimatidis
John Catsimatidis (born September 7, 1948) is an American billionaire businessman and radio talk show host. He is the owner, president, chairman, and CEO of Gristedes Foods, a grocery chain in New York City, and the CEO of the Red Apple Group, a real estate and aviation company with holdings in oil refining and storage. Catsimatidis is also known for his political involvement and philanthropic activities.

John Catsimatidis was born on the island of Nisyros, Greece, and immigrated to the United States with his family when he was an infant. He grew up in the Harlem neighborhood of New York City. Catsimatidis attended New York University (NYU), where he studied electrical engineering. However, he left before completing his degree to focus on his business ventures.

Catsimatidis began his career in the grocery business while still in college, working part-time at a small grocery store.
